Trevor Hunt Races to Second Victory of 2014 with I-35 Romp Winston, MO (May 3, 2014) – 15-year-old standout, Trevor Hunt from Kearney, Missouri raced to his second victory of the season in his Snickers #99 Eibach Springs/GRT Open Wheel Modified with a USRA sanctioned triumph at I-35 Speedway. Hunt took advantage of his front row starting spot for the feature to grab the lead early in the race. Once out front he cruised to the convincing victory.
Buzzy Adams Guns Down Foes in Eagle Valley Speedway Lid Lifter Rice Lake, WI (May 4, 2014) – Kevin “Buzzy” Adams from Cameron, Wisconsin piloted his Eibach Springs #40 Adams Automotive/LG2 Open Wheel Modified to the WISSOTA victory at Eagle Valley Speedway as the facility hosted its season opener. The victory was Adams’ third triumph of the 2014 season.
SECA Late Models
Ron Parker Back in Victory Lane with Lancaster Triumph Lancaster, SC (May 10, 2014) – Lancaster Motor Speedway was the scene of the latest triumph for Ron Parker as he raced to his fourth win of 2014 in his #8 Parker Motorsports/Eibach Springs Late Model. Not only did he dominate the feature by winning by more than a straight away, but he also claimed a $500 bounty for beating a competitor that had won three events in a row at the ½-mile speed plant.
Ron Parker Puts Competitors Behind Him at Harris Motor Speedway Rutherfordton, NC (May 3, 2014) – Ron Parker swept the SECA Late Model action at Harris Motor Speedway by setting fast time, and then leading every lap of the twenty lap feature from the pole for his third win of 2014 in his Eibach Springs #8 Late Model.
Italian GT Championship
Audi Sport Italia Dominates Opener at Misano World Circuit Misano Adriatico Rimini, Italy (May 10, 2014) – Audi Sport Italia celebrated double wins in the opening round of the Italian GT Championship season at the Misano World Circuit. The first race was won convincingly by Dindo Capello and Emanuele Zonzini in an Audi R8 LMS ultra. In the second race, their teammates Marco Mapelli and Thomas Schöffler held the upper hand in the sister car. In overall classification Mapelli/Schöffler took the lead over Capello/Zonzini.
China Touring Car Championships (CTCC)
Eibach Clients Dominate CTCC Action at Zhuhai Zhuhai, China (May 10, 2014) – The second round of the 2014 China Touring Car Championships (CTCC) was held over the weekend at Zhuhai. The super group started their event in the rain, but after just six circuits heavy rain arrived forcing the event to be red flagged. The heavy rain continued and ultimately forced the remainder of the event to be terminated with the current running order becoming the finishing order. Martin Xie claimed the win in his Eibach Ford Focus entry. Eibach customers swept the top six spots in the finishing order with Darryl Ouyang, Andy Yan, Wang Rui, Zhang Zhen Dong, and He Xiao Le filling the spots behind race winner, Xie.
NASCAR Whelen All American Series Late Models
Lee Pulliam Sweeps Mom’s the Bomb at SNMP Lucama, NC (May 10, 2014) – Alton, North Carolina’s Lee Pulliam enjoyed a dominant outing at Southern National Motorsports Park by winning not one but two 75-lap features in his Eibach Springs #75 Late Model during the Mom’s the Bomb 320. Pulliam led all but ten laps of the first feature to score the win, and not even an eight car invert in the second feature could slow him down as he took the lead on lap 64 on his way to making a clean sweep of the night. Pulliam now leads the Southern National Motorsports Park standings.
International Motor Contest Association (IMCA) SportMod
Ben Kates Tames Boone for Fifth Win of 2014 Boone, IA (May 10, 2014) – Ben Kates from Tonganoxie, Kansas returned to Boone Speedway for a weekly racing series event in the IMCA SportMod division in his Eibach #23k Harris Chassis. It would prove to be another great night as Kates motored his way to his fifth win of the season at the ¼-mile oval. Ben drove to a second place finish in his heat race to earn the tenth starting spot on the grid for the main event. When the feature went green Kates wasted no time charging his way to the front, and assumed the point from early leader, Lynn Brockett on lap four. Kates continued to pull away in the remaining laps en route to yet another trip to victory lane.
International Motor Contest Association (IMCA) Modified
Ricky Thornton Jr. Masters Mother’s Day Race for the Cure at Canyon Peoria, AZ (May 10, 2014) – Ricky Thornton Jr. continued his mastery of the 3/8-mile, Canyon Speedway Park clay oval by winning the IMCA Modified portion of the 4th Annual Mother’s Day Race for the Cure in the #5m Madrid Motorsports Modified. Thornton Jr. padded his point lead by winning from the pole for his eleventh win of 2014. The victory was his eleventh of 2014.
Todd Shute Conquers Iowa State Fairgrounds Des Moines, IA (May 9, 2014) – Another week, another win for Todd Shute as for the second consecutive event he conquered the IMCA Modified action at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in his #5 Eibach Springs entry. Shute charged forward from the third starting spot to score the victory over the fourteen car field.
