Ryan Gustin Dominates Tucson for Richest Super Late Model Victory Tucson, Arizona (January 19th, 2014) 23-year-old, Ryan Gustin from Marshalltown, Iowa put an exclamation point on the showing for Eibach customers at the 2nd Annual Winter Extreme at Tucson International Raceway, when he raced to the biggest Super Late Model triumph of his young career on Sunday during the finale for the miniseries. With 52 entries in the pit area Gustin blazed to fast-time honors in his group to earn the pole position for his heat race. He claimed a convincing win in his heat race to lock into the redraw for the feature, where he was the lucky recipient of the pole position. As the green flag waved for the finale Ryan bolted to the lead. He maintained a dominant lead throughout the 50 lapper, and the only scare for the talented pilot came in the late laps of the race, when he briefly tangled with a lapped car. Gustin recovered from the contact to complete his flag-to-flag, $10,000 triumph, which came over many of the nation’s top drivers in his #19 Gressel Racing/Rocket entry.

R.C. went on to drive away from the field to score the convincing flag-to-flag victory. With the impressive $3,000 win he also became the first driver from the state of Arizona to ever conquer the national competitors in the miniseries.

He was joined on the front row by Terry Phillips, and as the race went green Billy snagged the lead with Phillips in tow.
