Eibach Dominates the Daytona 500!
In less than three days the much-anticipated NASCAR season kicks off with the legendary Daytona 500 on February 22nd. All three of the top NASCAR series will be racing at the world-famous Daytona International Speedway as the stars and cars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series go to war atop the 2.5 mile oval.
The festivities are already underway with qualifying and preliminary races. In total, more than 200 machines are expected to participate in the smorgasbord of speed. Equipped with over 700 horsepower and approaching top speeds of nearly 200 mph, these daredevils of the blacktop regularly find themselves battling three wide into the turns or drafting nose-to-tail at top speed in a white-knuckle slipstream.
For the first time in the long and storied history of NASCAR, every single vehicle in the three top-tier classes will be equipped with Eibach Springs. This is a mandatory rule of NASCAR Superspeedways and for good reason. Superspeedways notoriously produce high top speeds, and racing on these high-banked tracks generate unbelievable aerodynamic downforce loads that are performance critical. Utilizing Eibach Springs on all entries creates an absolute level playing field for all of the teams, while simultaneously maintaining a safety factor across the board. A failure from any spring on any corner of any race car could lead to aerodynamic shifts in the wrong direction causing the car to become airborne, possibly causing a catastrophic multi-car accident. This risk is reduced with state-of-the-art Eibach Racing Springs. Eibach’s cutting-edge technology has a focus on intricately minimized tolerances on rates and heights under static loads as well as the race-proven Eibach durability. If you're looking for springs that utilize the same technology used in the super speedway races, check out our Platinum ERS Race Spring System for your pavement oval track car!
